Carbon neutral since 2005, one of our most sustainable suppliers Milliken shares our aspirations for a brighter future through reducing waste and byproducts, recycling whenever possible and finding new uses for existing waste.
The life cycle of nylon effects both the planet’s atmosphere, through carbon emissions, and wildlife, with fishing nets fragments damaging numerous aquatic food chains. Milliken has identified the opportunity to recover these fragments from the ocean and reuse them, negating the harmful process of manufacturing new nylon strands. In line with their sustainability strategy, Milliken’s matting fabric is created from 50% post-industrial and 50% post-consumer recycled content.
Econyl is a fully recyclable fabric that we have been using in a number of our matting products for a number of years.
